Blue morph Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) in summer coat. Hornvik, Iceland. July. Adult fox feeding on kelp fly (Coelopa sp) larvae. You can see the maggots on the kelp stalk. Kelp fly lay their eggs in washed up seaweed above the strand line and the larvae feed on the rotting mass.
