Bio

With a background in wildlife conservation, research and eco-tourism projects in the UK, Canada, South America and Asia, Terry's photography stems from a deep interest in man's role within the natural world. He believes that creative photography can influence and inform but that it is important to document wildlife issues realistically and with balance, even if the images are difficult to view.
Working with various environmental NGOs and scientists, recent projects include the wildlife trade in Asia, endangered primates in Vietnam, water vole conservation, and European coastal bottlenose dolphins.
Terry's work is used in a range of international publications including: BBC Wildlife, Geographical, Wildlife Conservation, International Wildlife, Ranger Rick, New Scientist, The Guardian and The Independent. An image from the Vietnam bear farming assignment was highly commended in the 2004 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Two images were Highly Commended and one of these won the Audience Prize in the 2009 GDT European Wildlife Photographer competition.
Commissioning clients include: BBC Wildlife Magazine, Knight Piesold (Vietnam), Severn and Trent Water (UK) and Free the Bears Fund (Vietnam).
Terry's photography is represented internationally by leading photo libraries: FLPA (UK), Photo Researchers (US) and Auscape International (Australia). He is a contributor to the ARKive project.
He often wonders why he talks about himself in the third person.
